YIN YOGA

EVERY TUESDAY, 8-9.15 PM BST

VIA ZOOM

These are my 4 yoga offers.

  • YIN YOGA

In a Yin Yoga class, we very rarely move off of the floor. Targeting the hips, pelvis, and lower back and legs, Yin shapes are mostly supine and always supported with props. The essence of this practice is to bring the body back into balance, out of fight and flight and into rest, digest and heal. Every Tuesday at 8-9.15pm, I offer online group Yin yoga classes via Zoom – you can make a one-off booking or save and buy a pack. This is your weekly self-care, unwinding, relaxing, and resting from the comfort of your own home.

  • FERTILITY YOGA

Fertility Yoga supports each phase of your menstrual cycle as she flows from bleed – ovulation – bleed. Based in Traditional Chinese medicine and meridian theory, the classes are centred around nourishing your internal organs, blood and energy to support you in having a healthy, fertile menstrual cycle. I have a number of on-demand classes and offer 1:1 classes in-person or online.

Discover a range of practices to melt tension from your body, nourish your menstrual cycle and bring you home to yourself after a busy day. This studio is your self-care pocket dial.

  • 1: 1 YOGA

If you want a bespoke approach to compliment your cycle healing or fertility journey, I offer online and in-person 1:1 classes to suit your life and your timetable.

WHAT IS YIN?

In Yin Yoga we very rarely move off of the floor!

Targeting the hips, pelvis, and lower back and legs, our shapes are mostly supine and often supported with props.

The essence of this practice is to bring the body back into balance. Out of fight and flight and into rest, digest and heal.

There are three main elements of a yin practice:

1) finding your edge

2) becoming still

3) staying in that stillness (for around 3- 6 minutes).

YIN YOGA HELPS TO:

- Calm the central nervous system

- Ease tension from the physical body

- Release any stagnation from tissues and energetic pathways (meridians)

- Positively influence Qi (energy) flow

- Nourish your internal organs

- Relax and empty the mind

- Heal periods pains, PMS and cycle irregularity

- Allow an emotional release and letting go

- Eases anxiety and stress

- Unwinds the fascia and unblocks what’s been stuck

- Find a deeper connection to Self and how you are feeling

YIN YOGA WITH LAURA

I have created my own style of sharing a practice that has bought so much connection, healing and release into my life. I love teaching Yin Yoga and creating a space where my students can completely surrender onto their mat and into their bodies.

I am on a mission to slow down the world and reconnect us all with our bodies.

We live our lives so attached to what we look like from the outside. Yin Yoga challenges this and makes us look inside, into feeling. It allows you to find acceptance, admiration and compassion for your body. It allows you the space to heal.

I am 200-hour vinyasa and ashtanga trained and have 140 hours of Yin Yoga, Embodiment and Mindfulness training. With training in stress management (TRE), somatic movement, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Myofascia release.

Over the past six years, I have transitioned from a fast, sweaty hot vinyasa to a slow, nourishing yin practice. Yin Yoga has transformed how I move, the way I start and end my days and given me a whole new meaning of how to look after my body.

I teach Yin Yoga classes that work to unwind, release and relax. They are deep journeys inside of your body that allow you the space to connect to the parts of you that live underneath the skin: your tissues, muscles, organs, and bones, as well as your breath, blood and energy.
