Atlas Mountains, Morocco

A retreat to release stress, reconnect with your body and remember what it feels like to be yourself again.

The Release Retreat

  • From the first moment of arriving it felt like an oasis of calm and from the opening session the love, warmth and empathy of this sisterhood of beautiful women was clear. Laura, Mary and Agnes created such a gentle, safe space to feel that you could truly release and open your heart and soul. Some great sessions learning new techniques to take home and bring into daily life, I can’t wait to start shaking! Truly the most wonderful experience and I can’t wait to go back!

    ~ Sarah

  • Laura is like a magical, empathetic fairy healer - I felt like she started a transformation in my life, reminding me of the importance of slowing down and releasing what doesn’t serve me. Her community-centric approach of holding space for fellow women and letting us really tune in with our bodies is like nothing I have ever experienced. I will definitely be back for more!

    ~ Monika

Over six days, you'll experience embodied movement, Yin Yoga, TRE®, sound healing, nourishing food, winter sunshine and the healing power of spaciousness - creating the conditions for your body to soften, release and reconnect.

You'll be supported to reconnect with yourself from the inside out

  • Laura expertly brings such a nurturing and welcoming group of women together, and this retreat really did make me hopeful that there are so many other people out in the world searching for community, connection and willing to be their authentic, open-hearted selves. The combination of slowing down, disconnecting from the outside world and reconnecting with our own bodies and minds, has truly left me feeling more at ease in my own skin. ~ Izzy

  • I didn’t realise how deeply I needed this retreat. It was such a beautiful reminder of the power of slowing down and gently letting go of what no longer serves us. Laura holds the most nurturing and safe spaces for healing — guiding you back into trust with your own body and helping you truly listen to its wisdom. I’m leaving with so many meaningful insights to carry into everyday life as well as beautiful new friendships. There was also something truly special about the sense of community — a deep sense of connection, support and shared presence. It felt like a beautiful reminder of what happens when women gather, slow down together, and just allow themselves to be." ~ Jess

Not just another yoga retreat…

The Release Retreat is six days to step out of daily life, and it’s faced-paced buzz, and back into yourself.

Through embodied movement, Yin Yoga, TRE®, sound healing, nourishing food, winter sunshine and the healing power of spaciousness, you'll finally begin to let go of the stress and tension your body has been carrying.

This retreat is where you’ll come to slow down, reconnect with yourself and remember what it feels like to move through life with more ease. Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can do isn't add more, it’s to do less.

Why women leave feeling different

Many women arrive feeling exhausted, overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves. They leave not only feeling lighter and calmer, but with a practice they continue using long after the retreat ends.

Past guests of this retreat have shared that this retreat had marked the beginning of a lasting change - not because they've been given another “wellness” routine to follow, but because they experienced what it feels like to truly slow down and listen to their bodies.

The Release Retreat became the beginning of a different relationship with their body.

The Power of Space

We spend so much of our lives moving from one thing to the next, responding to everyone else's needs before our own. We become so used to being busy that slowing down can feel unfamiliar - even quite uncomfortable.

That's why spaciousness is such an important part of this retreat.

The practices we share each day are powerful, but it's the space around them that allows the real transformation to happen. Time to rest. Time to reflect. Time to explore. Time to do nothing.

Without rushing onto the next task or filling every quiet moment, your nervous system has the opportunity to settle. Your body has the chance to process, integrate and gently release what it no longer needs to be holding.

Transformation doesn't happen because we push harder. It happens because we create the conditions for change.

Through embodied movement, Yin Yoga, TRE®, rest and the healing power of spaciousness, you'll allow your body to release what she’s been holding onto and rediscover what it feels like to move through life with more flow and greater ease.

Our Practices

Every practice on this retreat has been chosen with intention.

Embodied movement helps you reconnect with your body, rather than simply exercising it.

Yin Yoga invites you to slow down, soften and create space where so much of life asks us to push through.

At the heart of the retreat is TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises), a gentle yet powerful somatic practice that works with the body's natural tremor mechanism to help release deep patterns of stress and tension.

A Rhythm That Supports You

Retreats are meant to be just that, a retreat.

While each day is gently held with embodied movement, TRE®, Yin Yoga, meditation and evening practices, I've intentionally created a spacious schedule.

You'll wake slowly with tea and morning treats before easing into the day with journalling, meditation and embodied movement - gentle practices that help you arrive in your body before the day begins. Then, after a long, nourishing breakfast, the day opens up.

Spend time by the pool, wander through the local village, curl up with your book in the sunshine, take a nap, book a massage or acupuncture, or enjoy the rare luxury of doing nothing at all.

After lunch, the afternoons remain spacious before we gather again for TRE®, before sharing dinner together and closing the day with a deeply restful sound healing session.

Our Home

Bab Zouina – A Beautiful Door to Retreat

The retreat will be held at Bab Zouina, in a beautiful traditional Moroccan villa situated in the Ourika Valley (30 km from Marrakesh). Nestled at the foot of the majestic Atlas Mountains, Bab Zouina—which means “Beautiful Door” in Moroccan—is a peaceful and uniquely charming yoga retreat centre built in the traditional Moroccan style.

It’s an eco-friendly secluded venue, surrounded by green olive trees, blooming flowers and chirping birds. With a lush ornamental garden, the centre is alive with the scent of thyme and lavender, and lined with lantana bushes, rose trees, agave, and vibrant exotic blooms, making each step a sensory experience.

Our Food

All our meals will be prepared with love and care by the amazing team at Bab Zouina. There is vegetarian and meat options.

Food is freshly baked every day from a traditional Moroccan earth oven, and we’ll have juices, tea, coffee, fresh and dried fruits available throughout the day.

A balanced and healthy diet is at the heart of the culinary approach at Baba Zouina.

    CRANIOSACAL THERAPIST

Agnes is a craniosacral therapist, yoga teacher and reiki healer, currently based in Mallorca. After years working in the corporate world, and following an urge to be useful and contribute to making the world a little better, she made her way into the health and wellness industry in 2014. Since graduating as a yoga teacher in 2017, she has continued to explore her studies in yoga and holistic therapies, and combines these to restore harmony, balance and vitality at a physical, emotional and energetic level.

    SOPHIE

    SOUND HEALER

Sophie is a certified sound therapist and yoga teacher from Switzerland. In her 20s, she was diagnosed with PCOS, which made her realise how much she had lost touch with her body. Since then, she has been on a journey back to herself and her femininity, which is how she met Laura.

Exploring her own female body inspired her to train in holistic women's health and tailor her services specifically to women's needs.  Through yoga, intuitive movement and sound, she has learned to better interpret and listen to her body's signals. She sees enormous power and impact in women listening to their intuition and allowing themselves to live according to their own individual rhythm.

On this retreat, Sophie will guide you into deep relaxation with soothing sounds and vibrations from various instruments. She offers you a safe space where you can let go, connect with your inner world and activate your own healing powers.

  • "I got tired of being the strong one, telling myself i'm ok when in reality I am exhausted and heartbroken, my answer to keep going meant I was running at 100 miles an hour in many directions.... The retreat, with its calm approach, Laura's support and kindness, along with amazing therapy's and wonderful women enabled me to let down my guard and let in the feelings I'd suppressed. There were times I felt very sad, I cried, I laughed, I had fun, learnt new ways to clear my mind, release tension and trauma ... so much to get out. I left so much lighter and know this has been a pivotal turning point in my life and I am looking forward with a lighter heart." ~ Ali

  • "Laura’s authentic charm made this retreat what it was. The way she teaches and supports, stays grounded, and the collection of ladies she gathered - everyone complemented each other, no competitiveness or bitchiness just super humans wanting to feel nourished and destress. It offered so many practical tools to cope with life, to help release stress and trauma, and the sisterhood spirit was incredible." ~ Lauren
