The Release Retreat

Saturday, 20th - Friday, 26th February 2027

Atlas Mountains, Morocco

A retreat to release stress, reconnect with your body and remember what it feels like to be yourself again.

Experience the healing power of somatic healing, sunshine, and sisterhood to help you slow down, step out of the non-stop energy of everyday life, reconnect with your body, and create some space to listen in and get to know yourself again.

  • From the first moment of arriving it felt like an oasis of calm and from the opening session the love, warmth and empathy of this sisterhood of beautiful women was clear. Laura, Mary and Agnes created such a gentle, safe space to feel that you could truly release and open your heart and soul. Some great sessions learning new techniques to take home and bring into daily life, I can’t wait to start shaking! Truly the most wonderful experience and I can’t wait to go back!

    ~ Sarah

  • Laura expertly brings such a nurturing and welcoming group of women together, and this retreat really did make me hopeful that there are so many other people out in the world searching for community, connection and willing to be their authentic, open-hearted selves. The combination of slowing down, disconnecting from the outside world and reconnecting with our own bodies and minds, has truly left me feeling more at ease in my own skin.

    ~ Izzy

  • My second time on the Release Retreat was possibly even more special than the first. Everything about it is just magical - the venue, the beautiful gardens and mountain views create such a calming and peaceful environment that I could feel my body and mind start to relax as soon as I arrived. Laura has an ability to bring together such an inspiring group of women from such different backgrounds, but all with the same warmth and openness. Within a day you feel like you’ve known everyone for ages! The most magical, special experience that is quite literally be life changing.

The Power of Taking Space.

We spend so much of our lives moving from one thing to the next, responding to everyone else's needs before our own, and we have become so used to being busy and stressed that slowing down can often feel really uncomfortable.

For these reasons, having lots of free time and space is one of the most important parts of this retreat.

The practices we share each day are powerful, but it's the space around them that allows the real transformation to happen. Time to rest, reflect, explore, and sit in silence with nothing to do… When is the last time you did that?

The Practices.

TRE® - Yin Yoga ~ Embodied Movement ~ Sound Healing

At the heart of the retreat is TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises), a gentle yet powerful somatic practice that works with the body's natural tremor mechanism to help release deep patterns of stress and tension.

Our morning movement practices will be embodied yoga and movement to help you connect with your body and move freely, rather than through controlled movement or strict cues.

We’ll end our days with Yin Yoga or Sound Healing to unwind before bed and create the foundations for deep, restorative sleep.

  • The retreat was perfect as it allowed me to spend a lot of time by myself (which I needed to help integrate the practices), whilst still very much feeling part of the group and feeling able to connect with everyone. I really enjoyed the small sharing circles and I loved the TRE and evening Yin. The power of being part of a community of like minded women was incredible, its reaffirmed my inner compass about what I value in friendships and the type of energy I want to be around in life, and why things feel out of alignment at times. I also found the way you teach so wonderful. I feel like I have permission to just be me in my practice- Laura you’ve turned on a lightbulb for me. You’ve been so inspiring and I felt deeply connected during all the classes.

    ~Jane

  • I didn’t realise how deeply I needed this retreat. It was such a beautiful reminder of the power of slowing down and gently letting go of what no longer serves us. Laura holds the most nurturing and safe spaces for healing — guiding you back into trust with your own body and helping you truly listen to its wisdom. I’m leaving with so many meaningful insights to carry into everyday life as well as beautiful new friendships. There was also something truly special about the sense of community — a deep sense of connection, support and shared presence. It felt like a beautiful reminder of what happens when women gather, slow down together, and just allow themselves to be.

    ~Jess

  • I got tired of being the strong one, telling myself i'm ok when in reality I am exhausted and heartbroken, my answer to keep going meant I was running at 100 miles an hour in many directions.... The retreat, with its calm approach, Laura's support and kindness, along with amazing therapy's and wonderful women enabled me to let down my guard and let in the feelings I'd suppressed. There were times I felt very sad, I cried, I laughed, I had fun, learnt new ways to clear my mind, release tension and trauma ... so much to get out. I left so much lighter and know this has been a pivotal turning point in my life and I am looking forward with a lighter heart.

  • Laura’s authentic charm made this retreat what it was. The way she teaches and supports, stays grounded, and the collection of ladies she gathered - everyone complemented each other, no competitiveness or bitchiness just super humans wanting to feel nourished and destress. It offered so many practical tools to cope with life, to help release stress and trauma, and the sisterhood spirit was incredible.

    ~Lauren

  • I loved this retreat so much, the safe space, support, learning about the nervous system and its responses, alternative therapies to get to the very heart of you, and how you helped me release the unbelievable amount of trauma held within my body, I am still in awe of TRE. Amazing people, location, food, positivity, there were many tears but also lots of laughter too. Thank YOU xxxst Item

    LAURA WILKES

    RETREAT LEAD

Laura is a women’s health expert, acupuncturis, yin yoga teacher, TRE practitioner. She takes a bottom-up approach to healing and weaves the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine through all her teachings to create an integrative, deeply embodied approach to wellbeing.

After leaving the high-pressure corporate world and losing her period, Laura began exploring women’s health and holistic healing. Her journey has taken her across the globe, travelling and working on retreats, including four years in Bali managing the holistic healing and retreat programs at The Yoga Barn.

On retreat, Laura shares TRE, Yin Yoga, embodied movement, and Chinese Medicine wisdom. Her teaching is both gentle and powerful, inviting you to soften, regulate your nervous system, release what your body has been holding to reconnect with the feminine energy so often suppressed in our modern, fast-paced lives.

    AGNES VITALIS

    CRANIOSACAL THERAPIST

Agnes is a craniosacral therapist, yoga teacher and reiki healer, currently based in Mallorca. After years working in the corporate world, and following an urge to be useful and contribute to making the world a little better, she made her way into the health and wellness industry in 2014. Since graduating as a yoga teacher in 2017, she has continued to explore her studies in yoga and holistic therapies, and combines these to restore harmony, balance and vitality at a physical, emotional and energetic level.

Agnes’s approach focuses on creating a safe space to enable the body’s self-healing abilities, tapping into all tissues of the body and resetting the nervous system.

On this retreat, Agnes will be offering 1:1 treatments that facilitate the letting go of layers of stored restrictions and traumas with a soft and gentle ‘allowance’. She values building trusting relationships and deep connections, to guide and help her patients and students through their own healing journey.

    SOPHIE

    SOUND HEALER

Sophie is a certified sound therapist and yoga teacher from Switzerland. In her 20s, she was diagnosed with PCOS, which made her realise how much she had lost touch with her body. Since then, she has been on a journey back to herself and her femininity, which is how she met Laura.

Exploring her own female body inspired her to train in holistic women's health and tailor her services specifically to women's needs.  Through yoga, intuitive movement and sound, she has learned to better interpret and listen to her body's signals. She sees enormous power and impact in women listening to their intuition and allowing themselves to live according to their own individual rhythm.

On this retreat, Sophie will guide you into deep relaxation with soothing sounds and vibrations from various instruments. She offers you a safe space where you can let go, connect with your inner world and activate your own healing powers.
